When an opportunity arose to get kids excited about reading and problem-solving, we answered with a groundbreaking new storytelling format.

Penguin Random House wanted to create a book series that would blend storytelling with engaging activities for young, curious readers. The goal was to appeal to both avid and reluctant readers. We collaborated with author and puzzle master Russell Ginns to develop a new genre of stories called “Puzzlooies!” This unique series combines quirky, humorous narratives with puzzles that, when solved, help advance the adventure. In addition to writing and illustrating each story, our team was responsible for developing a comprehensive library of puzzles for this 16-book series.
