Charter Brokerage, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, began as niche import/export tax law specialists. They initially approached Big Yellow Taxi for help with advertising, but the relationship quickly expanded to include video and a 360° marketing system. As the company expanded, the relationship deepened as well. When Big Yellow Taxi was tasked with a complete redesign of their website, a deep dive into the site traffic revealed an unfortunate discovery: despite paying for Google advertisements, Charter Brokerage was placing lower than the seventh page in search results, providing room for the competition to lure customers. Big Yellow Taxi audited their site and found key areas that needed improvement.
