Child-Friendly Cities

The world’s leading social welfare organization came to us to create a web-based searchable resource to help make cities across the globe more child-friendly.

In 2013, UNICEF launched a research initiative to improve children’s living conditions worldwide. To support this effort, they needed a website to distribute self-assessment tools and other important information to member cities. Big Yellow Taxi took on the challenge and redesigned the site to enhance its visual appeal and usability.

The new design featured improved visualization tools, informative motion graphic videos, and online functionalities that effectively explained, disseminated, and disaggregated data. Additionally, we developed a streamlined workflow for better content management and database utilization. The redesigned site also included a web-based searchable resource library to help cities worldwide become more child-friendly. Big Yellow Taxi maintained the site from 2013 to 2022.
