Accessibility Toolkit

UNICEF is dedicated to becoming an inclusive organization and ensuring its offices and programs are accessible to children, youth, and adults with disabilities. To support this mission, UNICEF contracted Big Yellow Taxi to design and develop an eight-part digital publication called the UNICEF Accessibility Toolkit. This toolkit focuses on applying universal design principles to promote accessibility for everyone.

The publication guides how to build or adapt infrastructure in UNICEF-supported programs and within UNICEF’s facilities to accommodate all individuals, including those with disabilities. We created these resources in collaboration with key stakeholders and accessibility experts to meet WCAG compliance standards. Upon completing the project, we consulted on and contributed to a best-practice guide for future publications.
